a special gift from us to you

Laura Barnes of our teaching staff created a poinsettia in her Pfaff 6D software. We have converted it to include other formats and we want to share. All three pieces of the flower fit in one 5" by 7" hooping. We are not currently set up for downloads, but we will be happy to send it to you.

Email us if you would like the file. We have .vp3, .pes, .jef, .dst and.exp. Or call us if you want to come in and stitch a flower on one of our embroidery machines. We can also supply it as 3 separate files for smaller hoops.

Here's how you do it: Hoop heavy water soluble stabilizer. The outline of the first flower piece will stitch and show you where to place the fabric. Let the second color run tack down the fabric and then trim the extra fabric from outside the stitched lines. Start the machine again and let the satin stitch cover the cut edge.

There are 3 colors for each flower, but they are all done with the same thread. The color stops are just to tell the machine to pause so you can position fabric and trim.

Move on to the second flower piece, and then the third. Remove the stabilizer from the hoop and rinse the flower sections. Assemble them by punching holes and putting them over twinkle lights, or tack them together with a jingle bell in the center.

Laura used organza and assembled the flowers on a string of battery operated lights.
